What Is Profhilo?

Profhilo® is an innovative injectable treatment designed to hydrate and remodel the skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo doesn't add volume but instead stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen and elastin, leading to improved skin tone, texture, and elasticity.​

How Does Profhilo Work?

Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) available.

When injected, it spreads evenly beneath the skin, attracting water to hydrate the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, vital proteins for skin health. This dual action results in firmer, smoother and more radiant skin.​

What Areas Can Be Treated with Profhilo?

Profhilo’s versatility means that it can be used to treat various areas, including:​

• Face

• Neck

• Décolletage

• Hands

• Upper arms

• Abdomen

• Knees​

It is particularly effective for areas with signs of aging, such as skin laxity, fine lines, and dehydration.

Profhilo is suitable for all healthy patients with no contra-indications above the age of 21. It is not suitable for patients who are breast-feeding or pregnant.

What to Expect from Treatment

• You will undergo a thorough consultation in clinic in order to determine whether the treatment is suitable and beneficial for you.

• Profhilo is administered through 10 specific injection points to cover the entire area to be treated (known as the Bio Aesthetic Point -BAP- technique)

• There is a little bit of short lived associated stinging but numbing cream can be used to alleviate the discomfort.

• Patients can typically resume normal activities immediately, though some may experience mild redness or swelling at injection sites.​

• Results are gradual and progressive, with optimal skin improvement observed after the second session.​

Aftercare Advice

• Avoid exercise for 24 hours after treatment

• Avoid excessive heat for 24 hours after treatment

• Avoid rubbing or massaging the area for 24 hours after treatment

• Avoid use of make-up over the puncture sites for a minimum of 6 hours – ideally wait until the following day

• Mild redness or small bumps may occur and settle within 1-2 days
