What Is The Perfect Peel?
The Perfect Peel is the UK's first medium-depth chemical peel that combines a unique blend of powerful ingredients, including:
Glutathione: A potent antioxidant that penetrates deep into the skin to combat oxidative stress, protect the skin from inflammation and reduce the signs of aging
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA): Stimulates collagen production and addresses uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation
Retinoic Acid: A hero-ingredient Vitamin A derivative that accelerates cell turnover
Salicylic Acid: A beta-hydroxy acid effective in managing blemish and acne-prone skin
Kojic Acid: Brightens the skin and promotes collagen and elastin production.
Phenol: Targets the upper skin layers to improve acne scarring, sun damage and fine lines.
Vitamin C: A powerful antioxidant that protects against free radical damage and aids in managing hyperpigmentation.
This synergistic combination results in a comprehensive treatment that improves skin clarity, tone and texture.
What Skin Concerns Can Be Addressed?
The Perfect Peel is suitable for individuals seeking to address a variety of skin concerns, including:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Enlarged pores
Acne and acne scarring
Rosacea
Sun damage
Melasma
Uneven skin tone
It is safe and effective for all skin types, making it a truly inclusive skin treatment.
What Does Treatment Involve?
You will need to have a consultation prior to your treatment being booked. During your consultation, we will assess your skin concerns and determine if The Perfect Peel is suitable for you.
Your consultation fee is fully redeemable against your first treatment.
No specific preconditioning of the skin is required prior to treatment. However, we recommend stopping the use of Retinoids 2 weeks prior to the peel.
Patients on Roacctuane must stop use after 6 months prior to treatment in order to achieve desired results and reduce complication risk.
The treatment itself is quick and comfortable:
The skin is cleansed thoroughly
The peel solution is applied evenly across the treatment area
The peel itself is very well-tolerated with mild stinginess which is short lived and self-resolving
The solution remains on the skin for at least 6 hours. You will be provided with a Post Peel Home Care Kit, which includes:
Two Post Peel Towelettes
Post Peel Moisturizer
Mineral Perfection SPF 30
For best results 2-4 peels may be recommended depending on the specific skin concerns we are trying to target; though even as a one-off treatment you will notice great skin benefits.
The full peel benefits and results start once the peel is complete and continue to evolve and progress over the next 4-6 weeks.
Are there contraindications to treatment?
Treatment in patients under the age of 18
Treatment in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding
Treatment over open wounds, areas of infection, suspicious skin lesions or over areas of moderate to severe eczema or psoriasis.
In patients with a history of cold sores, you will need to have a course of prophylactic antiviral treatment prior to having a peel.
Treatment in individuals currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
Presence of an allergy to any of the ingredients or to aspirin
Use of oral Roaccutane (Vitamin A) within the last 6 months prior to treatment.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is crucial to achieve optimal results.
Prior to the peeling process starting, the skin will feel red and tight in the first 1-2 days. You will be given a little post-treatment pack to use on your skin to support the peeling process.
Avoid exercise during the peeling process
Avoid excessive during the peeling process
You will be given detailed written aftercare instructions on how to support your skin on each day following the peel.
The peeling process itself usually begins on the 2nd or 3rd day and is usually complete by the 7th day
Avoid picking or pulling at the peeling skin: Picking significantly increases the risk of poor or delayed healing, uneven pigmentation or streaks and post-peel scarring.
Ensure you avoid direct sunlight during the peeling process and continue to use high factor SPF on your skin in the days and weeks after your peel to help maintain the results
You can slowly start to re-introduce your usual skin care routine after the peeling process is complete
